Hi, just wanted to say thanks for reviewing Back to the Beach! I adored this movie as a kid, glad to know I'm not alone, lol. I used to rent it all the time and showed it at my very first slumber party (sadly no punk surfers stopped by, hehe).
I know what Dan means, this movie made me (naively) think California was just one big beach party, lol. Oh well, as you say there's always the Jersey Shore boardwalk.
At the time of course they were paying tribute to the beach movies of old, but now this film has become a true time capsule of the '80s even more than the '60s. Sort of goes along nice with the film's theme of going back home again. :)
Anyway, keep up the good work, I'll definitely check out the rest of your episodes!
